Responsible Science

ZRC SAZU supports the approach of responsible science, which views research through the lens of its integrative social role. It is based on the idea that responsible science connects and intertwines the activities of research institutions, universities, businesses, policymakers, and citizens. Therefore, ZRC SAZU collaborates with all these stakeholders in the process of research and knowledge creation, adapting its activities to the values, needs, and expectations of various social groups.

The five pillars of responsible science encompass ethics and integrity, equal opportunities (including gender equality), public engagement, open access, and science education.
